Trackers

Trackers are used to monitor clicks from banner advertisements. Trackers work similar to the way Affiliate sales are monitored, except trackers only monitor clicks and do not pay out for sales.

Creating a new Tracker

  1. Open the Affiliate Menu.

  2. Open the Setup area from the Affiliates Section.

  3. Click into Advanced Features from the Setup area.

  4. CCBill Account Grouping may have to be Disabled in Advanced Features, before you create a tracker for a specific subaccount other than the main account. If CCBill Account Grouping is Enabled then you will be tracking the selected subaccount and all other subaccounts under the main account.

    To disable CCBill Account Grouping:

    1. Open the Setup area from the Affiliate Menu.

    2. Click into Advanced Features.

    3. Disable CCBill Account Grouping on the Advanced Features page.

  5. Open the Administration area from the Affiliate Section.

  6. Click into Trackers from the Affiliate Administration area.

  7. Run the Tracker report for the subaccount you want to create a new tracker for. Running the report sets up the links correctly to create a new tracker for the selected subaccount.

  8. Click the Create New Tracker Link in the Tracker area to open the Create New Tracker page.

  9. Type the name of the Tracker in the Text Box on the Create New Tracker page. Click btn_add.jpg to save the information to CCBill's system.

  10. A page will open allowing you to copy the linking code for the new Tracker just created. The system will supply the linking code only once. If you need to get the Tracker linking code at another time, you can do so in the Affiliates Report. See Related Topics below for more information.
