Loyalty and Cancel discounts are used to create promotional campaigns for subscriptions. Discounts effectively allow you to offer customers special pricing offers for specific time frames, much like a retailer might offer reduced specific goods for limited times, but only at certain times during the year. You can globally set up the options, which lowers the subscription by a predetermined amount for a specified time. Additionally, the discount is set for all customers that meet the specified criteria. Please note that the Promotional Prices area is only displayed for recurring billing types.
Click one of the Loyalty or Cancel links under the Type column to edit the promotion.
Loyalty - This discount is for existing customers. Because of the existing customer's patronage, you can offer a promotional price.
Cancel - When a customer decides to stop the subscription, they can be offered a promotion enticing them to stay.
Loyalty or cancel promotions may be added, edited or removed.
