The Additional Page Click Setup tool enables Administrators to setup tracking to determine how far into a site referred consumers browse. For example: Your website has a "virtual tour" area that customers are sent to from referring banners. To track how many referred consumers go three pages deep into your virtual tour you would place the text generated by the Additional Page Click Setup tool in the source code of page one, page two, and page three of your virtual tour. This feature is available to all users, even if Account Grouping is enabled.
To generate Link Codes:
From the Admin System click Affiliate>Setup>Page Views.
Choose the Subaccount number that you wish to generate a Link Code for (this center field may be pre-populated if you chose a Subaccount number previously in the menu on the left).
The Subaccount number that you wish to generate Link Code for. If not pre-populated, please choose an appropriate Subaccount from the drop-down list.
Enter a descriptive Page Name (i. e. Page 1).
Click Create New. You will get a confirmation that the operation completed successfully.
You may generate as many Link Codes per Subaccount as you wish by repeating the same steps for each page you wish to track; however, you may only have 3 active Link Codes per Subaccount.
Copy the code generated for the desired Page Name (highlight the text, Ctrl+C to copy) and place the code in the source code of the appropriate page of your virtual tour (Example: If you want to track the second click, place the Link Code generated for Page 1 and for Page 2 in the source code for your first and second tour pages using your preferred html editor and upload that new code to your website.) Try to place the code as close to the top of the page as possible.
Warning: While you may use different formats for your Link Code, during our testing we determined that this method (span) is the most reliable. You may change the format as long as you point to the URL generated by this tool, but please be aware that there is a possibility that you will lose clicks and your data may be skewed.
You may turn off tracking of any clicks without removing the Link Code from the source code on your website by simply clearing the check box in the Active column on the right, then clicking Update.
